Pam Hook and Julie Mills are experienced consultants in teaching and learning and partners in Hooked on Thinking. They work with schools to develop curricula and pedagogies for learning that align with The NZ Curriculum and The Key Competencies. They direct and facilitate Ministry of Education ICTPD cluster contracts and have been involved in Ministry Talent Development Initiative contracts in gifted and talented education. Pam and Julie also advise business on the pedagogical design of interactive educational games and other (e) learning initiatives.
Pam and Julie have taught at all levels of the education system across primary to tertiary sectors, have held senior management positions. Pam has published science textbooks and articles on thinking, gifted education and information communication technology (I.C.T.) and is an accredited Level 2 teacher educator and facilitator for Philosophy for Children Australasia (P4C)
Pam and Julie are engaging and verve filled presenters, regularly speaking at national and international conferences. Their innovative yet highly practical presentations provoke a rethinking of the conditions of value in teaching and learning.
